L- Phenylalanine is an amino acid that is thought to play an important role when treating vitiligo with phototherapy. Amino Acids serve as precursors for many nitrogeneous substances including heme, purines, pyrimidines, hormones, and neuro transmitters, including biochemically active peptides.
